STRANGERS IN A STRANGE LAND
Our Street Stories event in November 2016 featured personal stories from refugees and we heard about some of the provision to support migrants, refugees and trafficked people.
Dave Smith from the Boaz Trust interviewed a refugee that they have been able to help. Stop the Traffik’s Hannah Flint, the Modern Slavery Response Network Coordinator for Greater Manchester, shared about prevention work being done in the city through a multi-agency approach. Beatrice Smith, author and former refugee, shared her story of fleeing civil war in Rwanda and finding shelter in the UK.
“Great evening, meeting and interacting with people and especially the small group sessions with the speakers.”
