STORIES SHAPE OUR WORLD

Street Stories is the name for our public events. They are based on themes suggested by and relevant to the work of our members and the people they engage with, but which also are of wider interest to churches and others involved in ministry. We have run five Street Stories events since 2015 with inspirational speakers and guests including GM Mayor Andy Burnham, uplifting stories and group discussions. Click on the links for more information and photos: 'Health and Wholeness', 'Youth and Aspiration', ‘Strangers in a Strange Land‘, ‘People Power and Politics‘, 'Re:Mind, Mental Health and Well-Being in Greater Manchester'.

Our most recent Street Stories was 'Facing up to race' in August. This was originally arranged for June 4, but we were unable to proceed due to the Coronavirus lockdown. However, given the recent upsurge in #BlackLivesMatter caused by the death of George Floyd, we felt this topic so important we re-jigged the event into three online conversations in August. Details and recordings are here.

There are no plans in place at the moment for the next Street Stories – online or not – but watch this space for news.
