Street Stories - the Road to Recovery
Our next 'Street Stories' event will be on November 15, 7:15pm in Methodist Central Hall, Manchester. We are partnering with Greater Manchester Movement for Recovery to look at how what the churches are already doing has the potential to play a major part in our region's recovery strategy from the pandemic. With guests Andy Burnham, Adrian Nottingham and Erinma Bell. More details and booking info here. Space is limited.
Our Next meeting
The next meeting of the Mosaic Justice Network will be on September 22 from 11am. We will be hosted by Betel Manchester who will provide lunch. This is an opportunity for members to get together for a sabbath-type breather from ministry and activity and partake in some mutual encouragement and sharing. If you are part of a project or organisation involved in Christian social action and would like to know more about Mosaic, send an email.
Postponed Pixels to People
We did put that *subject to current Covid regulations on our announcement of our first in person meeting of the Mosaic membership, and so it came to pass that the restrictions were extended and we had to postpone.
So, our first face to face meeting since early 2020 will now be on Wednesday July 28, 11-1 at the Nazarene College in Didsbury. The college are kindly providing lunch and Principal Rev Dr Deirdre Brower-Latz will be our guest speaker. We will also be hearing from other members as they reflect on their experience of Covid and lockdown. For more information, and to pre-book for catering numbers, please send an email.

Next Mosaic Meeting
The next meeting of the member of Mosaic Justice Network will be on Thursday January 14 via Zoom from 11am. Joining details will be sent out to members by email. As we begin a new year in a mixture of hope as the vaccines get rolled out, but also concern at the steep rise in infections that has put us back into lockdown, it is important that we meet to share and pray, and support each other.
If you are reading this, not a member of MJN and curious to find out more or join, please contact one of the facilitators.

Our Street Stories event planned for June 4 had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus Lockdown. Then on May 26 the brutal public killing by police officers of black man George Floyd sparked an upsurge of #BlackLivesMatter in the USA, with similar protests in the UK. We felt we should find an alternative way to discuss issues around racism and have planned 3 short Zoom events on Facing Up To Race, with the same guest speakers, plus a few more. Dates and more info here.
Here are the four presentations from our Facts and Focus' Zoom gathering, at which we looked specifically at several responses to and impacts of the Coronavirus crisis.
